Ms. Zdenko, I got a great grade! I only received one point less than maximum from the oral exam—I couldn’t believe it myself. The written test had questions that we discussed in class. Thank you very much! – writes Chunli Yan, a student from China, to her teacher.
She got accepted into Charles University, where she will study Bohemian studies for foreigners at the Faculty of Arts. Her classmate, Jiaming Li, successfully passed the entrance exams to FSV and will be pursuing a master’s degree in media studies.

Both of them came from China to the Czech Republic in 2022 and joined the Humanities COMPLEX course. Thanks to the fact that they had already studied Czech before, they got into a class with students who know Slavic languages and are therefore able to study faster. However, Chunli and Jiaming were able to keep up. They both achieved some of the best results in regular tests, diligently studied their professional subjects, and achieved proficiency in the Czech language at the B1 level.

In addition to Czech, the students were delighted to attend the History of Film and Theater and the Social and Cultural Seminar. Chunli mentioned that the topics discussed in these courses were highly beneficial for the entrance exams.

Jiaming even participated in the Student Presentation Competition and received an honorable mention for his presentation on traditional Chinese clothing. He and his assistants wore traditional hanfu and even managed to dress two volunteers from the audience in this distinctive clothing.
