General information
Summer school of Slavic languages for those who are interested in the Czech language: from beginners to those who speak it at an advanced level (A1 – B2 according to SERRJ). In addition to intensive learning of Czech, course participants are offered a variety of informative lectures, cultural and sporting events.
Students will be taught by a professional team of ÚJOP UK teachers with many years of experience in teaching the Czech language. We will help you improve your language skills, both productive (speaking and writing) and receptive (listening and reading), as well as focus on working with pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. At the end of the course, students receive a certificate of course completion at their language level.
Only people over the age of 18 can take part in the course. People under the age of 18 can only participate in the course if accompanied by one of their parents or a legal representative.

There is an option to choose only a language course without any additional programs. Choose the option that suits you best in the online application.
For university students, we provide the opportunity to receive credits recognized by their educational institution.
Location
The ÚJOP UK Study Center in Poděbrady has a long history of teaching students during the school year and at summer courses (schools of last years). Poděbrady is located about one hour from Prague Airport. This is a picturesque resort town with numerous restaurants, parks and a colonnade, with cultural and social life in full swing. The course itself takes place in the heart of Poděbrady, in a 14th-century castle. The castle park is regularly used for various student events.
Accommodation and meals
Students live in the dormitory Hotel House, only in double rooms with private facilities. The rooms have refrigerators, wardrobes, shelves, desks and chairs. All rooms are connected to free Wi-Fi.
There is a shared kitchen on each floor (oven, microwave, electric kettle, stove).
In Poděbrady there are many different restaurants, cafes and bistros that will meet any visitor’s needs.
Cost of accommodation for the course period: 350 euros.

You will receive payment instructions after submitting your online application.
Discounts
We provide two types of discounts:
1) A discount of 50 euros per person is offered to: students who have already participated in one of our summer courses within last 3 years.
2) A 10% discount per person is offered to: participants of Czech language courses in Czech centers abroad.
3) A 10% discount to Ukrainian holders of a visa for the purpose of temporary protection.
Eligibility for the discount needs to be indicated in your online application right away. The maximum discount possible is 100 euros.
Cancellation and refund conditions
Course cancellation conditions
- Once a student has started studying, the course fee becomes non-refundable.
- If a student cancels the course no later than 2 weeks before the start of the course, the course fee will be refunded, minus 30 euros (registration fee).
- If a student uses documents issued by ÚJOP UK to obtain a visa and uses this visa to enter the territory of the Czech Republic, the studying is considered started. In this case, the course fee is non-refundable.
- By paying for the course, the student automatically agrees to the conditions above.
Accommodation cancellation conditions
- Once the student has moved into the dormitory, the accommodation fee is non-refundable.
- If the student cancels the accommodation reservation no later than 2 weeks before the start of the course, the accommodation fee will be refunded, minus 50 euros (reservation fee).
- If a student uses documents issued by ÚJOP UK to obtain a visa and uses this visa to enter the territory of the Czech Republic, the student is considered to have moved into the dormitory. In this case, the accommodation fee is non-refundable.
- By paying for accommodation, the student automatically agrees to the conditions above.
